Mark As the people were enjoying the moment, the king clapped,

and the bards quickly started to play their lutes and harps. Even
though I tried my best to hear it, it sounded like a silent guitar
sound. The music played continually without change. The same
rhythm of a few minutes repeated itself. As the bards continued
with the sweet ear torture, one of the faceless men on the opposite
side of the room, came up to me. He wore a burgundy cloak, with
diamond engravings, his red hat had a feather attached to it.
“I would like to grant you my deepest gratitude for saving us
all, sir!” he started to conversation.
“All I did was to leave a reptile lifeless,” I didn’t hear my own
voice. My tongue moved, and the man in front of me understood.
“You are humble, sir. By the decree of our king, you are a
nobleman now. Only a reflection of a beautiful goddess on earth
would be a fit for a humble, brave, and valiant young man like
yourself.”
“No, I cannot.”
“If you cannot do it now, then who will? All you have to do
is to go in front of our king and ask him to marry his daughter. I
would question the mind of any king, who would refuse a man as
valorous as you. A noble lady with beauty rivaling the stars could
only be matched with a lord with equal beauty like yourself.”
“No, you don’t understand. The reason for something like that
cannot happen is not the fear of rejection, it is because I do not
know what would happen next.”
“You do know the best, my lord,” He greeted me with his head
and walked back to the crowd of the faceless. I gazed at the prin-
cess. She was the most beautiful dream that existent eyes can see in
the world on the non-existent. I sighed and thought of things that
never happened and will never happen.
The night was joyful. Then the opening sound of the door
unexpectedly tore me away from my dreams. I figured from
